This privacy policy explains how Mistura Restaurant (“Mistura”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit our website, call us, email us, text with us, make a reservation, order online, buy our products, apply for a job, or ask about private dining or catering.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us:

When you call or email us: your name, phone number, email address and anything you tell us in the conversation.
When you ask us to text you: your mobile number and the messages we exchange.
When you make a reservation: reservations are made through OpenTable, which collects your reservation details under its own privacy policy.
When you order online: pickup and delivery orders are placed through order.online, which collects your order and payment details under its own privacy policy.
When you ask about private dining, catering or party platters: the details you enter in the inquiry or order form, such as your name, email, phone number, event date and guest count. Our private dining inquiry form is provided by Tripleseat.
When you apply for a job: the details you enter in our job application form, such as your name, email, phone number, the position you’re interested in, and your résumé. The form is provided by our customer communications platform (HighLevel / LeadConnector). You can also email your résumé to us instead.
When you buy our products: our sauce and immature brandy are sold through separate online stores, which collect your order, shipping and payment details under their own privacy policies.
When you buy a gift card: gift cards are sold by phone and in person only, so we collect only what’s needed to complete the purchase.

Our website doesn’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t use our own analytics or advertising trackers.

3. How we use it

To answer your questions and respond to your messages.
To confirm reservations, orders, private dining and catering you ask us about.
To review job applications and contact applicants about them.
To send you the link you asked for during a phone call (see Text messages below).
To run our restaurant and meet our legal obligations.

4. Text messages (Mistura Text Messages)

Mistura Text Messages is our SMS program. Here is how it works:

How you opt in: opt-in is verbal only. We send a text message only when you call us and ask us, during that phone call, to text you a link (for example, to our menu, reservations, online ordering or a private dining inquiry).
What we send: the link you asked for. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
To opt out, reply STOP to any message. You’ll receive one message confirming that you’ve been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

6. Cookies and third-party services

Our website doesn’t set its own tracking cookies. It remembers, in your browser only and only for your current visit, whether you closed the announcement bar or the new products bar. It also remembers, in your browser, that you’ve seen the cookie notice, so it isn’t shown again. Some parts of the site use services from other companies, which may set their own cookies and collect information under their own privacy policies:

Google Maps, on the homepage.
Tripleseat (with Google reCAPTCHA), in the private dining inquiry form on the Private Events page.
HighLevel / LeadConnector (with Cloudflare Turnstile), in the job application form on the Jobs page.
OpenTable, order.online, our product stores, Mistura Catering, Instagram and Facebook, when you follow a link to them.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it or delete it, by emailing info@misturarestaurants.com or calling (805) 439-3292. We’ll respond within the time the law requires. To stop text messages, reply STOP at any time.

8. California privacy rights

If you live in California, you can ask us what personal information we have collected about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and you won’t be treated differently for asking. We don’t sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Do Not Track: our website doesn’t track you across other websites, so it treats every visit the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Children: our website isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your information and keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
